Dr. Suniel Deshpande is an academician, strategy & marketing professional ,advisor to corporates/NGOs, Chairperson-Centre of Excellence in Health Care ,a speaker , writer , mentor with three decades of professional experience.
Qualifications wise he is a Doctorate [PhD] in Pharmaceutical Management with Post Graduation -MBA from the University of Pune , graduation in Pharmacy from the University of Mumbai and a Post-Graduate Diploma Holder in Medico Legal Systems [PGDMLS] from Symbiosis University, Pune .Currently pursuing an advanced certificate program in Digital Marketing from NMIMS, Mumbai
Has experience of more than 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry in marketing planning and business development functions for multi-product, multi-crore Indian & Multi-national companies like Medley,FDC, Bayer, CFL Pharma,Shreya Life Sciences & Raptakos Brett & Co at various positions. Lead the marketing functions at an All India level , successfully launched ,built and managed multi -crore pharma brands

Appointed as the first Chairperson for the Centre of Excellence in HealthCare [CEHC] .The CEHC is an industry interface in academia responsible to devise knowledge based endeavours to bridge the gap between the academia and the pharmaceutical[healthcare]industry ,facilitates exchange of ideas, provide solutions to industry issues & offer guidance to future decision makers and facilitate research

Conceptualized various academic & industry oriented initiatives like Experiential training program [Market Based Projects], International & National Conferences, Symposia, Panel Discussions & Academia-Industry Collaborations

Initiated & Conceptualized “Management Development Programs” [MDPs] for the pharma industry

Has been invited as a “Speaker “ and a ‘Panelist” & Delivered talks in various industry forums & conferences

Has been invited for various Advisory projects in Healthcare & as an Advisor/Consultant

Invited as a member of the ISCEA International Standards Board -Healthcare committee and IISB - HC [ ISCEA International Standards Board Healthcare] advisory board member , IPGA-SF .

Teaches MBA students in pharmaceutical & biotechnology management program in subjects like Strategic Management, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Management ,Product & Brand Management , Marketing Finance and Principles & Practices of Management

He is a member of the All India Management Association & a core-committee member of the Higher Education Forum.
