Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) was introduced in SIESCOMS in the year 2001. MCA is a two year full time program affiliated to the University of Mumbai and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
Spanning over four semesters, the course not only includes subjects that give a good grounding in the IT concepts & latest technologies, but also includes subjects like Soft-Skills to prepare the students to be more competent and are ready to face the dynamic corporate world. The programme offers a variety of Skill based courses to expose students with the latest tools used in the industry.
The MCA programme at SIESCOMS is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.

From the Academic Year 2020-2021 the duration of the MCA program has been changed to Two Years. The revised course structure caters to the current needs of the industry and covers areas like Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation, Computer Vision, Mobile Technology, and many other courses as per the present-day industry needs.

The program brings out professionals who are not only conversant with technology but are also trained for designing and developing software applications for various business domains. At SIESCOMS we believe in the overall development of students by grooming them to face the industry and make them better human beings.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO) of the MCA program.

PEO1 To build foundation of mathematics, computer science and problem solving methodology for developing skills necessary for a computer professional.
PEO2 To acquaint students about principles of system analysis, design, development and project management.
PEO3 To keep the students abreast with advanced knowledge and latest developments in the field of Information Technology
PEO4 To inculcate effective communication skills combined with professional & ethical attitude.

Program Outcomes (PO's) of the MCA Program

PO1 Computing Knowledge: Apply knowledge of Computing fundamentals, mathematics, and appropriate domain knowledge to device applications to solve various business problems.
PO2 Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex computing problems reaching substantiated conclusions using principles of mathematics and computing sciences.
PO3 Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex computing problems and design system components or processes with innovative ideas and practices to solve real world problems.
PO4 Conduct investigations of complex problems: Review Literature, Design and conduct algorithmic experiments, so as to develop research aptitude and inference skills in computer science and applications.
PO5 Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern computing tools to complex computing activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6 Professional Ethics: Understand and commit to professional ethics, responsibilities and norms of professional computing practice.
PO7 Life-long learning: Recognize the need, and have the ability to engage in independent and life-long learning for continuous development and progress as a computing professional.
PO8 Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the computing and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
PO9 Communication: An ability to communicate effectively with the corporate world as well as society by being able to document and deliver presentations effectively.

The Students of the Department of Computer Applications regularly participate in various Social Activities organised by the College, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) and other Non-Government Organisations (NGO's).
Out students have been regularly participating in various cleanliness and cleanliness awareness drives organised by the NMMC under the Swach Bharat Mission.
The students also participate in various events organised by the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee (CSR) of the college.
